A leading renewable energy company in Veracruz is seeking a Safety and Health Supervisor to manage and enhance workplace safety and health programs. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, at least 5 years of SHE experience, and be ready to obtain Safety Officer accreditation. The role includes supervising safety operations, ensuring compliance, and developing strategies to minimize workplace risks. This position provides a dynamic opportunity to drive SHE culture improvement.

Formación

  • 5+ years of experience in SHE or related field.
  • Registered Engineer and/or holder of a PRC License preferred.
  • Must attain Safety Officer accreditation within one year.

This position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of safety and health programs, processes, and procedures in the workplace to drive SHE culture improvement in order to sustain SHE excellence. This position supervises the implementation of government, organization, and corporate programs.

The position shall direct the implementation of safety and health management programs to ensure compliance and effective incident management and loss prevention.

  • Develops and supervises implementation of OSH programs and plans to ensure attainment of OSH objectives and goals.
  • Supervises emergency response operations in the event of incidents (e.g. injurious, fire, etc.) and develop/update OSH procedures including emergency work instructions.
  • Evaluates proposals to ensure OSH requirements are integrated and are acceptable.
  • Plans and monitors budget, time/schedule, condition of OSH equipment and manpower for the efficient execution of OSH plans, programs, drills and exercises.
  • Organizes inputs from relevant teams and/or streamlining OSH processes and requirements to come up with a united action to resolve issues and concerns and minimize risks in the workplace.
  • Drafts and ensures on-time renewal and/or application of permits and submission of reports to regulatory agencies and other interested parties by regular monitoring and updating.
  • Serves as the Secretary of SHES Committee and act as a Safety Officer of the Company.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders in order to improve training session plans, timely revise and/or create procedures to align with new/changing
  • requirements and benchmark with best practices and/or international standards.
  • Provides support to the execution and resolution of issues on the implementation of programs and plans, potential and actual non-compliances by facilitating discussions with relevant teams to come up and execute a compliance plan.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of OSH programs by audits, inspections, analyzing data and updates the concerned teams with the necessary corrective actions.
  • Assists during investigation of incidents and
  • non-compliances in order to identify root causes and collaborate for the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence, as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferably a Registered Engineer and/or holder of a PRC License.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in SHE or a related field.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience in at least one SHE-related initiative.
  • Must have project experience, at least as a project member.
  • Must be able to attain Safety Officer accreditation within one (1) year of employment.
