A leading energy solutions firm is looking for a motivated Project Manager to oversee Nuclear Services projects. Based in Veracruz, you will manage relationships with customers and ensure project compliance and operational excellence. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and extensive Project Management experience, particularly in nuclear services. This role involves overseeing project execution and driving continuous improvement.

Job Description Summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Project Manager to support Nuclear Services projects at the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant in Alto Lucero, Veracruz, managing long-range forecasting, demand planning, and fulfillment processes (ITO/OTR) to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant execution. This role serves as a cross-functional focal point between customers and internal teams—including Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Scheduling, Manufacturing, and Logistics—with the flexibility to support multiple product lines as business needs dictate. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. They will provide leadership across the full customer lifecycle, supporting sustained customer success through training, professional services, technical support, and outcome delivery.

Job Description

This position is based in Veracruz Mexico, and candidates must be willing to travel and work on-site daily at Laguna Verde

Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the central point of contact among all stakeholders—customers, ITO/OTR PMs, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Scheduling, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
  • Commission projects, resolve specification issues, manage correspondence, and provide periodic updates to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.
CFE Process Integration & Compliance
  • Serve as the primary GVH interface with Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), ensuring alignment of contractual, financial, and operational commitments.
  • Track and verify delivery of parts and services to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and cash collection in accordance with CFE and GVH metrics.
  • Monitor contract compliance, elevate issues as needed, and implement corrective actions to maintain strong customer trust.
Project Planning & Execution
  • Lead all aspects of project management, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resource management.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership for project teams, ensuring delivery within cost and schedule commitments.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal business policies.
Performance & Operational Excellence
  • Monitor project performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Invoicing Quality, Quote and OTR Cycle Times, Cash Collection, and Win Rate.
  • Ensure all quotes and orders meet technical, financial, and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Drive waste reduction, process simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned product lines.
  • Champion a culture of quality, integrity, and compliance in all project activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Technology, or Business.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Business Management, with significant exposure to nuclear services or industrial projects. Deep knowledge of Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) processes, including finance, accounting, and contract management.
  • Proficient English language skills.
Eligibility Requirements
  • This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally plant sites.
  • Ability and willingness to work 12-hour days, 7 days per week (when delivering field projects).
  • Willing to work as needed during critical outage periods (holidays, weekends, and overtime).
  • Accountable to support other GEHI Local Team activities and support tasks, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of financial principles including revenue, income statements, balance sheets, and cash/inventory metrics.
  • Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a bias for action.
  • Customer service mindset with experience in parts supply chain operations.
  • Previous experience working in nuclear energy or GVH‑related industries.
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple levels of an organization.
