Job Overview

The Global Inventory Manager will be responsible for the design and execution of inventory policies and inventory health. In this role, you’ll design and deploy planning & fulfillment initiatives leveraging best practices and solutions with the objective of improving our customer’s on time delivery, lead‑time, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns.

Responsibilities
  • Primary accountability for the inventory globally and for achieving its budget objectives for inventory turns and days on hand.
  • Design and deploy strategic initiatives and process improvement projects, aligned with the company operations strategy, for improving inventory position and minimizing the E&O inventory.
  • Implement and oversee inventory planning & fulfillment performance metrics and KPIs by working closely with colleagues (internal and external) such as suppliers and/or distribution centers, responsible for data mining and performance monitoring tools.
  • Lead and support cross‑functional initiatives for optimizing customer on‑time delivery, lead‑time and inventory; use Lean Six Sigma tools whenever applicable and collaborate with other functions within the end‑to‑end supply chain.
  • Inventory analysis – be the go‑to person for inventory‑related questions. Identify and proactively communicate inventory risks and opportunities to partners during the monthly process and push for corrective actions.
  • Assure alignment and integration of the inventory strategy derived from new product launches into the S&OP process.
  • Coach and provide training to the teams, developing detailed gap analyses across the organization and providing solutions to reach expected customer service levels at optimized inventory levels by utilizing L6S, Value Stream Mapping for planning and fulfillment best practices.
  • Coach and lead the deployment of inventory management best practices globally and in the regions, ensuring business units’ adherence to inventory management processes and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business or Engineering or Business required with a minimum of 5–8 years of experience in planning and inventory management roles.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory optimization and related financial acumen.
  • Must possess strong collaboration skills, with the ability to establish and implement best practices, preferably across multiple manufacturing plants and customer developments.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and detail‑oriented.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical skills are required with ability to coach and develop a planning team.
  • High degree of commitment, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, facilitate meetings and influence others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, while recognizing and addressing systemic issues.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven individual with a proven track record of process implementation.
  • SAP and digital supply chain tools experience.
  • Experience working in a global environment is a plus.
  • CPIM, MBA or equivalent is a plus.
