A global specialty retailer is seeking a Local Controller in Mexico City, responsible for leading finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Mexican and US GAAP, and guiding strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, significant experience in senior financial roles, and proficiency in both English and Spanish. This leadership role offers a chance to drive operational efficiency and profitability in the organization.

Formación

• Minimum of 7-10 years in accounting and finance.
• 3-5 years in a Controller or senior management role.
• Expert knowledge of MX GAAP and US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of Mexican tax laws.
• Proven ability in a matrixed organization.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
• Manage local tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and enforce internal controls for financial data.
• Provide strategic guidance to the local management team.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team.
