A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Perform a variety of import/export duties that include processing papers necessary to facilitate shipments between international locations.
• Administer the efficient and economical movement of goods in accordance with organizational policies.
• Prepare, review, approve and maintain files for import/export documents required for the lawful completion of import/export activities.
• Serve as an import/export liaison for international customers/subsidiaries, distribution, procurement, planning, manufacturing, intercompany finance, regulatory and import/export compliance functions.
• Plan, schedule and route imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage and customs transaction compliance.

Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation – while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience in Trade or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related similar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in International Trade, Customs, and Logistics.
• Experience with Annex 24 and 30 systems (Zoe, Intrade, or similar).
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency in I-Export.
• Knowledge of Customs Law.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations.
• Knowledge of Finance regulations.
• Knowledge of APICS.
• Advanced English proficiency.
