A leading energy company in Mexico seeks an experienced Data Management Functional Manager to develop and implement local digitalisation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of professional experience in data management, proven leadership skills, and be fluent in English and Spanish. This role involves planning and reporting workplans and improving data management systems within the organization.

Formación

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in data management and analysis, preferably in the E&P industry.
• Must have proven leadership experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

What you can expect

• Develop local digitalisation initiatives and strategy in alignment with overarching Wintershall Dea digital & data strategy.
• Functional Manager for Data Management and Data Science.
• Responsible for internal planning, forecasting, implementation, and reporting of relevant workplans and budgets.
• Responsible for monitoring performance within the BU Norway Data & Digital department and correcting any performance deficiencies.
• Liaise with suppliers and provide technical support to tenders and contracts as required
• Provide technical advice and services (data and information management) towards Business Unit Mexico business and activities for all relevant departments and activities.
• Ensure effective prioritization and balanced allocation of the services provided to the various businesses.
• Act as focal point towards SVP IT and Digital and related Corporate Unit VP’s.
• Provide a clear framework for governance of Business Unit Mexico data and database whilst assuring the quality of the data.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives of data and information management systems and processes.

What we expect

• University degree in Computer Science, or relevant subject.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in data management and analysis, preferable in the E&P industry.
• Must have proven leadership experience.
• Must have a sound understanding of data science, information management and typical E&P workflows.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring diverse technical teams and leading complex projects.
• Must understand project management tools and techniques.
• Understand “life of field” cycle and interaction between subsurface data and other disciplines (such as drilling, facility, and finance).
• Trust, care, open-minded and brave.
• Skills according to the target profile assigned in the Competency Management System.
• Social competency to work in a multicultural environment and the ability to cooperate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong business & commercial understanding and entrepreneurial mindset.
