A leading automotive parts distributor in Monterrey is looking for a Regional Construction Manager to oversee store construction projects across Mexico. The successful candidate will train project managers and ensure that all work adheres to established plans and specifications. Candidates should have over seven years of construction experience and strong managerial skills, preferably in fast track retail construction.

Formación

• More than seven years of experience in the construction industry, especially in fast track retail construction.
• Basic computer skills for estimating and scheduling.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

Regional Construction Manager Mexico- Manages the Construction of the stores in Mexico, by working with Director of Construction and supporting team. This includes evaluating and qualifying bids, contracts, change orders to ensure that Autozone's resources are wisely used. This position also includes training of PMs, site visits in the field to verify quality of work, with accordance to plans and specs. The Regional Construction Manager should also communicate with his/her counterparts in all areas of Autozone, with an emphasis on Real Estate, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Train PMs and visit sites to ensure the stores are being built to plans and specs.
• Review with the Project Manager the specifications and construction process, mainly in structural matters. Ensure the establishment of schedules, budgets, problem resolution and execution of works.
• Confirm with the Project managers the scheduling of supplies and materials.
• Monitoring of public services procedures for contract and connection.
• Monitor and ensure the storage of auditable information on the projects of the Project Managers under their charge.
• Monitoring and conclusion of administrative closure and capitalization
• Store visits and site visits to see construction and maintenance issues. Also include pre-con visits, with Real Estate and Design to verify site conditions, and input for RE approvals.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

Area of Study: Business/Construction

Years of Experience: More than seven years.

Type of Experience: Experience in Construction industry, with emphasis on fast track retail construction.

Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, construction estimating, and scheduling.

Other/Preferred: Bilingual capabilities, strong managerial skills.
