CommScope is looking to add an Engineer II, Manufacturing to join our Manufacturing Operations Team in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua.

General Summary

Under indirect supervision, it develops and maintains processes passionate about optimizing the use of manufacturing resources. Analyzes the conditions and capabilities of their areas and the equipment used in the manufacturing areas. Performs studies of times and movements. Participates in the introduction of new products and transfers from one location to another, as well as in the accurate implementation of engineering changes.

Daily Tasks
  • Documentation management and analysis.
  • Verifies the machinability of products.
  • Proposes design changes for manufacturability.
  • Analyze capabilities based on volumes.
  • Identifies needs and provides area, supplies, facilities, equipment and machinery.
  • Design the flow and assembly method.
  • Lay Out Design and Maintenance.
  • Production Line Balancing.
  • Implement Engineering Changes.
  • Establish manufacturing processes that impact Quality, Cost and Production Volumes.
  • Continuously works on productivity projects to reduce costs.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that facilities, equipment and tools are optimal.
  • Provide the assembly method.
  • Staff Training.
  • Timely implementation of engineering changes.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Ongoing support in SAP (Engineering Functions).

  • SAP System (Manufacturing)
  • Manufacturing Process System.
  • Information and Documentation System.
  • Manufacturing Methods.
  • Continuous Improvement System.
  • Create routes in the SAP system.
  • Develop and maintain assembly processes and visual aids.
  • Propose and validate material deviations (TDA).
  • Propose, validate and approve process changes.
  • Propose, validate and approve design changes (CMR & CMO).
  • Transfer of products.
  • Productivity projects for cost reduction.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics, Electromechanics, Systems)
  • English 80% (written and spoken)
  • 3‑5 years of experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment.
