What we're looking for:

Sermo is looking for a BusinessDevelopmentAssociatewhowill be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and support of tracking our commercial pipeline while assisting in identifying new prospects and stewarding the development of outbound proposals.

You will lead in the creation of strategic salesproposals and develop ideas and concepts to solve client goals that are deeply rooted in storytellingthroughinsights.


  • Serve as primarybusiness developmentadministrator for theSalesforceenvironmentincluding:Handle all basic administrative functionsofaccount, contact and opportunitymaintenance, setup and approval.Transfer record ownership due to changes inrepor territory coverageand keep client database current.
  • Importand assignleads and contacts
  • Assist commercial team by:Searchingfor prospective clientsand qualifying potential new clients.Utilize business acumen to research companies.
  • Assist with drafting RFP submissions, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other
  • Enter and manage insertion orders within third-party and internal sales operations systems
  • Establishes and maintains knowledge of products and service offerings


  • 2-3+years experienceworking at a publisher, media or creative agency managing a brand's digital advertising strategy,sales teams,creative developmentorbuying activities
  • Business development associateshould haveworkingknowledge ofSalesforce inside and out.
  • Experience in a sales interfacing role and comfortable presenting to different internal audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
  • Love to prospect - act as the engine of our sales team, revving up and warming up leads to be shared with our outside sales team
  • Work with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as experience with analyzing datasets, and delivering actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
