Formación

• 2 years of experience in Alteryx and SQL with relational databases is required.
• Proven experience in programming languages or database management systems (SQL, Python, R).

The Role:

At HSBC, the CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking) Data & Analytics team is a key driver in building the bank of the future by streamlining operations, transforming legacy processes and commercializing insights into actionable outcomes. Our team operates in a dynamic setting solving critical business problems and reimagining how we view our operations via a data driven lens.

We use Alteryx for most things and other tools (Python) when they make sense. Our Data Assets are built on GCP, Hadoop, DB2, Teradata and we continuously migrating data assets to Google Cloud Big Query for Analytics and Machine Learning.

Principal accountabilities:

• Analyze Wholesale Lending and Credit data to create reporting and provide management insights for business decisions
• Engage with end users and effectively map the data requirements
• Understand the data sourcing systems landscape, Analyze cross system linkage
• Produce data assets by blending data across different source systems (Google Cloud BQ, Hadoop, APIs)
• Analyze and Produce data lineage for analytical platforms and day-to-day business cases
• Analyze the data and discuss the quality issues and insights with manager
• Develop Alteryx Workflows and Python for data wrangling and preparation
• Work collaboratively with various teams across the bank on initiatives to generate financial capital (revenue growth, capital efficiency, cost savings, etc.)

• Ability to work independently with stakeholders to understand the problem statement and propose, build, test and document the appropriate data driven solution.
• Strong technical background to conduct business and statistical analysis on bank owned data and develop effective solutions based on business needs.
• Work closely with related teams to ensure alignment with broader strategy and ability to communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Attention to detail to ensuring the completeness and comprehensiveness of data structure by integrating the sources for newly identified data points. Work with other team members as required to source / remediate key datasets.

Qualifications

• Alteryx (Mandatory)
• Python (Preferred)
• SQL (Mandatory)
• Entity Relationship Data Model (Mandatory)
• GCP BigQuery (Preferred)
• Wholesale credit and lending (Preferred)

Experience

• 2 years of experience in Alteryx, SQL with relational databases
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve data integrity problems independently
• Maintain and manage data catalogs and dictionaries
• Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM or Business Administration
• 4 Years of hands on experience in Data Analytics
• Proven experience working on programming languages or database management systems (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have strong organization skills to maintain and document projects
• Experience working with Alteryx and Google Cloud Platform is preferred
• Excellent documentation to help build sustainable, automated processes with smart controls.
