The role

The Collections Specialist will be responsible for maintaining relationships, handling reminder calls and managing customer account balances whilst ensuring all processes are followed.

This role is achieved by providing exceptional customer service via inbound/outbound calls and correspondence/emails to ensure the health of each loan account.

Responsibilities

Here’s an example of your day to day:

  • Manage reminder calls to Australian population who are late with payments
  • Providing customer service regarding repayment issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Reconcile customer disputes
  • Establish payment plans for customers
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for interactions, contact details, collections work and all other activity, related to the management of customer
  • Support business requirements as needed within the scope of training and knowledge – this particularly pertains to providing support to the Hardship Team
Requirements

Mandatory to live in Mexico City or Metropolitan Zone.

Here’s what experience we need from you:

  • English advanced (fluent) all the calls will be in English
  • 1+ years experience in a customer service role
  • Experience in roles with inbound and outbound calls. High attention to detail
  • Be methodical in your approach
  • Be results focused
  • Have high personal energy and enjoy a lively environment
  • Demonstrated ability to show active listening, effective questioning to build rapport and ongoing relationship
  • Be flexible and welcome change/improvements
  • Proactive and performance driven nature
  • Independent problem‑solving abilities and positive attitude
  • A good understanding of how to talk to get the most out of customers
  • Knowledge of phone systems – Dialler (highly regarded)
  • An understanding of Collections and Hardship (highly regarded)
