A manufacturing company in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a Planner/Buyer responsible for supply chain management. You will coordinate production activities, ensure timely manufacturing orders, and oversee inventory control and purchasing. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience, especially within a medical manufacturing environment. Strong verbal skills in both English and Spanish along with ERP knowledge are essential. This role offers career growth opportunities.
The Planner/Buyer is responsible for the supply chain management. Responsibilities will include coordination and planning of all activities related to the production of FGs, release schedules and analyse forecast to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders and the availability of resources (Procurement, Planning, Inventory control and logistics). To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and key responsibilities: Achieve On-time delivery targets Convert customer demand (Sales Orders) into a production schedule (netting out on-hand FG inventory and available machine/labor capacity) Minimize line disruptions and prevent materials-related line downs Effectively manage inventory to meet ITO, DOS, and E/O targets Oversee purchasing activities to ensure MRP messages are followed, exposure is minimized, and PPV is minimized, past due orders are tracked and minimized Oversee critical processes including Sourcing Team escalation, CCN, MO
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, e.g., Business, Engineering, Management
Five or more years of progressive Supply chain/Materials/Procurement/Planning/ Inventory control management
Experience gained within medical manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge in ERP systems Medical industry knowledge/experience preferred.
Strong verbal English and Spanish verbal and written skills including effective negotiation skills.
A proven track record of cost savings. APICS C.P.I.M. or CSCP certification preferred.
Strong and proactive problem solving skills including techniques that identify and resolve root cause.
Proven leadership and management skills including effective time management and multitasking skills.
Strong and analytical and organizations skills.
