What are the most common activities?
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and follow up on daily priority shipments, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Track and report on the status of incoming and outgoing shipments on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate the return of empty containers to rail as required.
  • Manage local pickups and deliveries within the El Paso, TX – Ciudad Juárez, Chih. region.
  • Maintain and update transportation data records, including driver, truck, trailer, and license plate catalogs.
  • Prepare and distribute daily logistics and performance reports.
  • Assign drivers and trailers for import and export shipments.
  • Communicate with transportation providers and trailer rental companies to resolve issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support special projects and tasks assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT, BASC, OEA, and applicable U.S./Mexico customs and traffic regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and comply with legal requirements related to environmental protection, workplace safety, and regulatory standards; promptly report any suspected violations to management.

Job Qualifications

To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Team‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous experience in transportation or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Experience and/or knowledge of: BASC, CTPAT, ISO9000.
