Job summary

PPOAR in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait, seeks a skilled Welder Technician to join our team. You will perform welding and fabrication to repair and maintain equipment and structures, applying technical knowledge to every project.

You will read technical drawings, operate MIG, TIG and stick welders, prepare surfaces, monitor quality, and ensure safe, on-time completion of projects through collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with various metals and alloys
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine welding techniques and materials
• Operate MIG, TIG, and stick welders to fabricate or repair metal parts
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or cutting as needed
• Monitor welding process to ensure quality standards are met
• Inspect welds for accuracy and make adjustments
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety regulations
• Collaborate with team to complete projects on time and within budget
