Job summary

Want More is seeking an entry level Welder to join our fabrication team in Bayan. You will learn to join metal parts using high heat and pressure, following blueprints and instructions, with on-the-job training provided.

This role is ideal for candidates who are physically fit, fluent in English, and able to work in an industrial setting. The position offers a starting salary of $1,700 per month, with accommodation possible for out-of-town applicants and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have valid biometric passport.
• Fluent in English.
• Preference for Canadian nationality or ability to work legally in Canada.
• Willingness to work in Bayan or surrounding areas.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfortable working in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment such as torches arc welders and gas welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine proper welding techniques and materials needed.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing any impurities or debris.
• Position and clamp metal pieces together according to diagrams or instructions.
• Use various tools such as hammers chisels grinders and drills to shape and cut metal pieces as needed.
• Inspect finished welds for quality and make any necessary repairs or adjustments.
