Job summary

V2X is seeking a Systems Administrator I to maintain and secure Windows-based server environments across NIPR and SIPR networks in Kuwait City. The role requires active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 compliant certifications.

You will manage AD, server infrastructure, and patching, working with SCCM/SCOM, and ensuring STIG compliance. On-site housing and transportation support are provided along with a completion bonus and tuition reimbursement program.

Qualifications

• Must hold active Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570.01M baseline certs required.
• At least 5 years Windows Server/AD experience.
• Experience with NIPR and SIPR networks.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Windows Server administration, including AD, DNS, and DHCP.
• Modify, deactivate and manage user accounts and security groups as needed.
• Monitor NIPR/SIPR enterprise systems; report outages to NOC.
• Utilize SCOM and SCCM for monitoring and configuration tasks.
• Perform regular patching and STIG-compliant hardening of servers.
• Document troubleshooting steps and actions in ticketing systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Systems Administrator I monitors the Tier 1 and/or 2 server operations/performance using appropriate software applications and tools. The Administrators shall be the Helpdesk POC for all theater NIPR and SIPR enterprise systems issues, create and/or manage trouble tickets, and monitor status and report outages to NOC Operations. This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus and tuition reimbursement program! You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country to include but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a host nation visa and host nation driver’s license in order to be qualified for this position.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all aspects of server administration to include, but is not limited to, Active Directory Organization Units (OU), objects (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), Domain Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Servers such as GemOne.
• Modify, and deactivate user accounts as necessary.
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and SIPR-REL.
• Use of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) as directed.
• Utilize vSphere clients to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.
• Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.
• Maintains system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Perform SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol) scans of servers and workstations to ensure STIG compliance. Upload the resulting CKLB files to eMASS as directed by IA.
• Utilize AESMP ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and or escalating to the next level of support.
• Performs other duties and assignments assigned.

• Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + High school diploma required. • Experience:
  • + The Systems Administrator I is required to be an expert in all functions of both IAT Level I and IAT Level II positions relating to a Windows Server operating system environment.
  • + The Systems Administrator I must be able to apply extensive knowledge of a variety of the IA field’s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all enclaves (NIPR, SIPR, etc.) systems.
  • + Must be able to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for the enclave environment.
