Job summary

Client of Career Hunters in Kuwait is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support Store Manager in stockroom management, inventory accuracy and merchandising in a fashion & retail setting.

You will receive merchandise, verify items against documents, organize stock, replenish floors, and run regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and timely stock transfers or deliveries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stock keeping, inventory, warehouse, or fashion retail is preferred.
• Good understanding of inventory and stock control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and verify quantities, styles, sizes, colors and product codes against delivery documents.
• Check products for damages, defects or discrepancies and report issues to management.
• Organize and maintain the stockroom to company standards.
• Ensure merchandise is tagged, labeled, folded, hung and stored properly.
• Replenish merchandise from stockroom to sales floor as required.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate low-stock or fast-moving items to management.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts as required.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and stock audits.
• Maintain records of stock transfers, deliveries, returns and damaged items.
• Prepare merchandise for customer reservations, online orders, transfers or deliveries when required.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable for relevant retail products.
• Support visual merchandising by ensuring sufficient stock for displays and promotions.
• Coordinate with the sales team to respond quickly to requests for products or sizes.
• Follow company policies relating to inventory control, security, loss prevention, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming merchandise and verify quantities styles sizes colors and product codes against delivery documents Check products for damages defects or discrepancies and report any issues to the Store Manager Organize and maintain the stockroom according to company standards Ensure all merchandise is properly tagged labeled folded hung and stored Replenish merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor as required Monitor stock levels and communicate low-stock or fast-moving items to the management team Conduct daily weekly and monthly stock counts as required Assist with physical inventory counts and stock audits Maintain accurate records of stock transfers deliveries returns and damaged items Process stock transfers between stores or warehouses according to company procedures Prepare merchandise for customer reservations online orders transfers or deliveries when required Follow FIFO FEFO principles where applicable particularly for relevant retail products Ensure the stockroom is clean safe organized and free from unnecessary items Support visual merchandising by ensuring sufficient stock is available for displays and promotional activities Coordinate with the sales team to respond quickly to requests for specific products or sizes Follow company policies and procedures relating to inventory control security loss prevention and health and safety Report stock discrepancies shortages overages or suspected losses immediately Requirement open to all nationals residing in KuwaitPrevious experience in stock keeping, inventory, warehouse, or fashion retail is preferred.Good understanding of inventory and stock control procedures.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
