A hospitality company in Al-Kuwait seeks an experienced Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team. Responsibilities include menu development, ensuring food safety, and staff supervision. Qualifications

Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Sous Chef to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As a Sous Chef, you will be expected to lead the kitchen team in creating high-quality food and managing day-to-day operations. You should be passionate about cooking and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef in developing and executing new menu items.
  • Create recipes, determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements, and production schedules.
  • Prepare high-quality dishes that adhere to company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  • Supervise kitchen staff by providing guidance, coaching, training and motivation.
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are adhered to at all times in the kitchen area.
  • Manage costs related to ingredients, labor, and other operational expenses.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of different cooking techniques such as roasting, grilling, braising etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food safety regulations and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining oversight of all duties performed by staff members under your supervision.
