Position Title: Sous Chef

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Al-Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and managing the staff. You will have excellent management skills and be able to deliver high-quality dishes. You should have a creative approach to menu planning and have experience with a variety of cuisines. We are looking for an individual who is committed to excellence and can ensure that our guests enjoy an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including scheduling, menu planning, food preparation, and quality control.
  • Manage staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Create new recipes using seasonal ingredients while considering cost efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and order necessary supplies as needed.
  • Develop weekly specials that highlight seasonal ingredients.
  • Train new staff on proper food preparation techniques, equipment use, health & safety regulations, etc.
  • Taste all dishes before they are served to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience as a chef or sous chef in a professional setting is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of various cuisines from around the world is desired.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality food and service standards is essential.
  • Must be organized, efficient, detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members is essential for success in this role.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages preferred).
  • Must be willing to relocate to Al-Kuwait for this position (foreigners welcome).
