Qualifications

• Previous experience in operating machines (lathes, milling machines, drill presses) is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately is essential.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to machine operation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machines including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, etc.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the correct set-up of the machine.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust settings as necessary.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on the machine as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems associated with machine operations.
• Ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Keep accurate records of production data such as parts produced and time taken for each job.
