Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Senior Project Manager, based in the Middle East with a focus on Kuwait, to drive project delivery on-site across multiple streams. You will coordinate ICPs, design consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to achieve acceptance against scope, schedule, cost and quality while meeting customer commitments.

The role involves acting as design manager/coordinator, overseeing consultant deliverables, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and site

Qualifications

• Strong, proven experience in project management and delivery of complex construction and system integration projects.
• Experience of civil build, construction and design for communication towers, data centres etc.
• Experience of international build and design knowledge in the Middle East or comparable environments.
• Experience working with in-country partners, design consultants, customer-side stakeholders, government/regulatory stakeholders and local subcontractors.
• Ability to review contractor programmes, identify schedule risk, support recovery planning and translate programme issues into practical site actions.
• Experience acting as a design manager, design coordinator or client-side design lead, including management of consultant deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of RAID, change control, progress reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, site-based capacity with regular travel across the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and customer outcomes.
• Maintain project governance, action tracking, decision logs, escalation routes and progress forums.
• Oversee integrated planning, milestones, dependencies, RAID, change control and delivery forecasts.
• Coordinate Kuwait delivery across customer, government, ICP, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Maintain regular site presence across Kuwait to review progress and confirm readiness.
• Act as design manager during design development, overseeing ICP deliverables and approvals.
• Coordinate design workshops and reviews among SRT teams, the Programme Director, ICP, consultants and site teams.
• Manage design queries, deviations, approvals, procurement interfaces and installation-readiness constraints.
• Ensure construction/design activities comply with Kuwait health, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Assist with tender activity, scope interpretation and delivery advice as required.

You as our Senior Project Manager will ideally be based in the Middle East, with a primary focus on Kuwait. This is an extremely hands-on, site-facing role supporting the Programme Director by leading project delivery, coordinating assigned workstreams, and controlling delivery against agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and customer commitments.

Role Overview of our Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate ICP, design consultants, subcontractors and internal SRT teams through design development, construction readiness, installation and acceptance. The role will also act as design manager/coordinator during design development, overseeing the ICP design consultant and managing design reviews, comment close-out, approvals and alignment with SRT technical requirements, customer obligations and site delivery constraints.

Responsibilities - Senior Project Manager - not exhaustive:

• Lead assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery remains focused on scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and customer outcomes
• Maintain project governance, including delivery reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalation routes, reporting cycles and customer-facing progress forums
• Oversee integrated planning, schedules, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, RAID, change control and delivery forecasts
• Coordinate Kuwait delivery across customer, government, regulatory, ICP, consultant, subcontractor and internal SRT interfaces
• Maintain a regular site presence across Kuwait, travelling frequently to project locations to review progress, resolve blockers and confirm construction and installation readiness
• Act as design manager/coordinator during design development, overseeing ICP design consultant deliverables, review cycles, comment responses, approval submissions and alignment with SRT / customer requirements
• Coordinate design workshops and reviews between SRT technical teams, the Programme Director, ICP, consultants, customers and site delivery teams
• Manage design queries, technical clarifications, deviations, approvals, procurement dependencies and installation-readiness constraints
• Ensure construction and design activities comply with applicable Kuwait health, safety, environmental and statutory requirements
• Assist with tender activity, scope interpretation and delivery advice as required
  

Requirements - Senior Project Manager - not exhaustive:

• Strong, proven experience in project management and delivery of complex construction and system integration projects, including construction delivery interfaces on complex multi-site programmes
• Experience of civil build, construction and design for communication towers, data centres etc. would prove highly beneficial
• Experience of international build, construction and design knowledge would prove highly beneficial
• Experience working with in-country partners, design consultants, customer-side stakeholders, government/regulatory stakeholders and local subcontractors in the Middle East or comparable international delivery environments
• Ability to review and challenge contractor programmes, identify schedule risk, support recovery planning and translate programme issues into practical site actions
• Strong capability in managing design clarifications, technical deviations, approval dependencies, procurement interfaces and installation-readiness constraints
• Experience acting as a design manager, design coordinator or client-side design lead, including management of consultant deliverables, design review trackers, technical queries, comment close-out and approval workflows
• Strong working knowledge of project governance, integrated planning, RAID management, change control, progress reporting, stakeholder management and commercial delivery awareness
• Experience supporting a Programme Director or equivalent senior delivery leader by consolidating delivery reporting, escalating risks and ensuring project execution remains aligned to programme objectives
• Comfortable operating in an extremely hands-on, site-based capacity, with the flexibility to travel regularly across Middle East for extended periods as project delivery requires
• IT Literate (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Project Schedule software including P6 and MSP, CAD)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to suit customers, partners and internal teams
