Job summary

Aspen Technology, Inc. in the Middle East seeks a Sr Principal Petrophysicist to lead on-site Well Log Data Management projects using Aspen Geolog and related tools, delivering high-quality data, composites, and LAS files for strategic customers.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Enablement, you will review petrophysical work, ensure data integrity, and present technical findings to senior management and clients, while coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petrophysics, Geology, Geosciences, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of industry experience as a Petrophysicist, Well log Analyst or Wellsite Geologist in the oil and gas industry.
• Extensive experience in petrophysical evaluation, well logging techniques, reservoir characterization, and resource assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Well Log Data Management support ensuring high-quality well log data in the repository and preparing composite logs and LAS files.
• Review and ensure technical accuracy of petrophysical work and coordinate with data providers for data quality—timeliness and alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to senior management and customers, and collaborate with the Project Manager for successful delivery.
