Egis is seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector for Site Supervision in Kuwait to ensure construction projects meet building codes and safety standards while overseeing on-site activities.

You will conduct thorough inspections, supervise construction, review drawings, and report on deficiencies. Collaboration with contractors and project managers is essential to deliver projects on time and to high quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in building inspection or a related field.
• Proven site supervision and project management experience.
• Deep knowledge of local and international building codes and standards.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in inspection techniques and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection software and tools.
• Certifications in building inspection (e.g., ICC) are desirable.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different sites in Kuwait City.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Supervise construction activities and monitor work quality.
• Review technical drawings and specifications.
• Identify and report code violations, safety hazards, and structural deficiencies.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain records of site visits.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper PPE on-site.
• Stay updated on changes in building codes and best practices.
• Provide guidance to improve construction processes and quality standards.
