New Mowasat Hospital-Kuwait is seeking aQuality & Safety Manager to drive hospital-wide quality procedures and accreditation readiness. You will coordinate audits, monitor standards, and lead performance improvement initiatives across clinical and support services.
The role involves developing corrective action plans, conducting quarterly quality awareness sessions, and ensuring data integrity for ongoing accreditation activities. A CPQ/ASQ equivalent certification is preferred.
Participates in the development of multi-disciplinary collaborative teams, and drives them to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
Supports clinical services and Hospital accreditation activities; conducts accreditation orientation sessions, audits, maintains appropriate data, monitors standards & regulations to identify deficiencies and recommends activities to meet standards.
Coordinates Internal (clinical and support function) Audit process; prepares schedules, reports and helps in setting corrective action plan.
Reviews Patient complains and conducts Clinical Case reviews (care /negligence) for root cause analysis in order to facilitate effective resolutions.
Reviews and monitors Adverse Occurrence Reporting (AOR) for identification of actual and potential risks.
Recommends corrective and proactive methods for improvement; Issues AOR analysis &recommendations for improvement reports as assigned.
Conducts quarterly Quality awareness sessions.
Aides departments for the development of critical hospital plan (Disaster plans) and other accreditation requirements e.g. FMEA & RCA
Identifies process improvement requirements and ensures availability of updated internal processes that helps departments in delivery of patient care according to required standards.
Identifies non-compliance to established process standards, suggests improvement actions and reports to Manager - QSM
Identifies training needs (clinical) for Hospital staff, plans and delivers training according to the need and requirements.
Educates and conducts process trainings for Hospital staff in performance improvement concepts, principles, methodologies and clinical audits.
Participates in clinical services and Hospital-wide performance improvement activities (e.g., performance improvement projects, clinical pathways, Clinical guidelines & benchmarking).
Participate in committees, task forces and teams related to the Hospital’s performance improvement plan, as directed.
Tracks and monitors organizational Quality indicators.
Reviews the applicability of policies developed by clinical/non clinical departments and ensures implementation.
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Attends meetings as required.
Performs all additional assignments as requested by the Manager-QSM
EDUCATION: MBBS/ Registered Nurse or Bachelor’s Degree in a related healthcare discipline.Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)/ American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification or international equivalent preferred.
