JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Project Director at Gastronomica, you will lead and oversee all planning, implementation, and tracking of short/long term projects within the GCC. You will be responsible for all project and construction related activities of the company ensuring all projects are on time, within budget and scope.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and effect necessary systems, manuals, formats, procedures, spread sheets etc; in all aspects of Project Management operations in the organization.
- Projects department and management of the entire project team in the organization.
- Co-ordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant persons/departments of the company and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
- Manage the relationship between the company and all contractors and other outside business partners
- Create and maintain complete project documentation
- Perform risk analysis of projects in order to minimize financial risks
- Source materials and create and maintain supplier contacts
- Frame and structure proper Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for all projects
- To ensure the timely submittal of all project submittals and obtaining approvals. (Samples, Drawings, Design Details, Work Procedure, Method Statements, Schedules, Programs etc.)
- To attend all project related meeting with Client/Engineer/Main Contractor and reporting back to the Management on the proceedings as well as to attend all project related meetings in the organization.
- Formulate mood boards, sample lists and brochures required for the execution of designs
- Device efficient supervision of day today construction activities at every site, local or international
- A thorough understanding of the MEP related works and co-ordination to execute the same in every projects
- Co-ordinate with Business Development/Senior Management on all design and constructions activities to maximize efficiency of operational aspects including kitchen design.
- Ensure that construction is as per design. Rectify discrepancies; if any. Ensure that the design is executed to maximum perfection.
- Co-ordinate with contractors and ensure smooth work flow at multiple sites; both nationally and internationally
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation and ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
- Travel when requested by management and oversee any works entrusted upon.
- Check and monitor all quotations, tenders, contracts (falling under the department)
- Responsible to set department budgets and yearly targets after discussing with the Management.
- Ensure projects run smoothly by analyzing and reviewing production costs, schematics and vital data that pertains to the project.
- Performs any other duties related to the job function as may be necessary.
