Job summary

Holiday Inn & Suites Kuwait Salmiya is seeking a Chef de Partie or similar culinary professional to assist in preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. You will work under senior chefs, ensuring quality, temperature control, and adherence to recipes in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role requires a culinary qualification or vocational training, with previous hotel/restaurant kitchen experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food hygiene.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety practices is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Complete daily mise en place and prepare workstations before service.
• Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs during busy service, banquets, and events.
• Ensure food is prepared and served at correct temperature and quality.
• Follow recipes and procedures to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Store, label, date, and rotate food per FIFO/FEFO.
