Job summary

V2X in Kuwait seeks a highly skilled power systems technician to operate, maintain, and repair aircraft arresting gear and related electrical systems. You will manage generators, switchgear, and control equipment in challenging outdoor environments as part of a 100% overseas assignment. You must have MAAS/BAK-12 training, a U.S.

SECRET clearance, and extensive experience with BAK-12 arresting systems. Strong technical knowledge and the ability to work long hours under demanding conditions are

Qualifications

• Four years of experience operating and maintaining BAK-12 aircraft arresting systems with factory training on MAAS/BAK-12.
• Knowledge of electronics and electricity including generation, conversion and distribution.
• Three years operating and maintaining prime power generators.
• English reading and speaking fluency; ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, and operates electrical power systems and arresting gear; checks serviceability and calibrates equipment.
• Maintains and repairs electrical power, arresting systems and related components; troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Maintains operation and maintenance records; prepares reports and data logs.
• Keeps work areas clean, safe and compliant with regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support contractual and mission requirements.
