Overview

A fit model main responsibility is to try on garments, accessories and shoes to test every new design as they are being produced to allow designers, vendors to check and observe fit, drape and visual appearance of a design and to provide feedback about issues such as comfort. A fit model can become an integral role in the design process; commenting on garments and materials with regards to fit, movement and feel on flesh, and objective feedback on the 'fit' and design in the stead of the consumer.

Responsibilities

• Trying on sample clothing from vendors for fit accuracy
• Provide “how it feels” feedback to design team to support meeting the desired outcomes and goals of the fit
• Help to increase product sales by promoting a favorable image of their company products
• Must maintain weight and measurements per the company standards
• Office duties including filing and sample coordination
• Collaborate with the designers, stylist, photographers and E-Commerce
• Must be self-starter and able to work unsupervised for long periods of time
• Offer additional team support as workload allows and availability to work flexible hours
