Job summary

Work standard is seeking a skilled Carpenter in Al-Kuwait to join our team. The ideal candidate will have craftsmanship skills and experience with woodworking tools, able to read blueprints and work independently or with a crew.

Responsibilities include cutting, assembling, finishing wood materials, installing cabinetry, repairing furniture, and maintaining tools. Strong attention to detail and math accuracy are essential, along with safety-conscious work habits and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent craftsmanship skills and experience with woodworking tools.
• Must be able to accurately read blueprints related to carpentry projects.
• Must have good mathematical skills to make accurate calculations when measuring/cutting material.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have an eye for detail and an ability to follow instructions closely.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler or measuring tape.
• Cut material using saws or other power tools such as routers or sanders.
• Assemble materials using nails, screws, staples or other fasteners.
• Smooth surfaces with sandpaper or electric sander after assembly is complete.
• Install finished products such as cabinetry or shelves into the designated area
• Repair damaged furniture items such as tables or chairs according to customer specifications
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment used in the trade
• Follow safety procedures when operating power tools or working with dangerous materials
