Job summary

Egis is seeking a detail-oriented Marine Inspector for Port Construction Supervision in Kuwait. You will oversee and inspect marine construction projects at port facilities, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards and safety protocols.

You will supervise dredging, breakwater, dock facilities, and marine infrastructure installations; coordinate with contractors; document findings; and report to project leadership and authorities to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in marine or port construction inspection and supervision.
  • Expertise in maritime construction standards, protocols and best practices.
  • Proficiency in inspection methodologies and QA procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and assessment skills for complex scenarios.
  • Advanced attention to detail and non-conformance identification.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or coordination experience in construction or marine environments.
  • Strong understanding of marine engineering and port infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in maritime construction.

  • Physical capability to perform on-site inspections in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of port construction projects including dredging, breakwater, docks, and marine infrastructure.
  • Analyze methodologies, materials and workmanship against standards and regulations.
  • Prepare inspection reports with findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, contractors and project managers to ensure adherence to plans.
  • Monitor safety and environmental compliance across all construction phases.
  • Evaluate structural integrity using specialized inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, test results and milestones.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify risks and provide mitigation guidance; ensure alignment with Kuwait maritime regulations and international standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.
