Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems seeks a Mid-Level Manufacturing Data Systems Specialist in Kuwait to design, develop, and support data-driven solutions for manufacturing operations. You will combine software development, SQL/database work, data analysis, and process flow design to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires several years of hands-on experience, independent work, and close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Industrial/Manufacturing, Information Systems or related field.
• Experience: 3–5+ years in software development, data/analysis, or manufacturing systems.
• Preference: experience in manufacturing environments; U.S. passport and ability to obtain a work visa.
• Deployment/physical requirements and travel as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-ready software tools and scripts for manufacturing operations.
• Enhance and support existing applications; troubleshoot and implement improvements.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce errors and cycle time.
• Design and manage relational databases (production, quality, test, traceability).
• Develop schemas, tables, views, stored procedures and indexes; monitor performance and security.
• Write complex SQL queries; build reports/dashboards for production and quality insights.
• Analyze data for root-cause and continuous improvement; support process optimization.
