Overview

Librarian job vacancy in Al-Kuwait Kuwait for foreigners. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As a Librarian, you will provide access to library resources and services to our customers in a friendly and efficient manner. You should also be comfortable with using technology to improve the customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the library’s collection of books, magazines, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and other resources
• Index materials so that they can be easily found by patrons
• Assist patrons in finding books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, or other library resources
• Address inquiries from patrons regarding library policies and procedures
• Respond to feedback from patrons regarding library services
• Monitor circulation of library materials to ensure timely return
• Process new material acquisitions including cataloging and shelving them appropriately
• Provide technical assistance with computers and other technology available in the library

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or equivalent experience required
• Experience using computers and other technology required
• Knowledge of current practices in library science preferred
