Job summary

HRInvest is seeking a Senior ABA Therapist to support a teenager with autism in Kuwait. The role focuses on Verbal Behavior and Functional Communication, using naturalistic teaching and Functional Communication Training to develop communication and daily living skills.

You will collaborate with teachers and caregivers, provide school shadowing, monitor progress, and demonstrate measurable intervention outcomes in home, school, and community settings. Kuwait-based, full-time.

Qualifications

• Degree in ABA, psychology, special education, or related field.
• Certifications such as BCBA, QBA, QASP-S, RBT or equivalent with current status.
• Hands-on ABA experience with teenagers with autism and limited verbal communication.
• School shadowing experience required.
• Experience in functional communication, verbal behavior, and social skills development.
• Experience developing adaptive skills and independence.
• Excellent English communication and measurable intervention outcomes.
• Available for full-time, long-term position in Kuwait; international applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one ABA support to a teenager with autism and limited verbal communication.
• Develop functional communication, verbal behavior, social interaction, and independent living skills.
• Provide school shadowing to support academic learning, classroom participation, attention, and following instructions.
• Collaborate with teachers and caregivers for consistent support.
• Implement tailored interventions using Functional Communication Training and naturalistic teaching strategies.
• Support emotional regulation through evidence-based approaches.
• Monitor measurable progress and generalize skills across school, home, and community settings.
