Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, such as hearings and trials, or before administrative boards, arbitrators, or similar bodies
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, contracts, and other documents as needed
  • Advise clients on legal transactions including the formation of corporations or other business entities
  • Research legal issues and provide advice regarding applicable law or regulations
  • Review relevant laws and regulations to ensure that all applicable laws are met
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery requests from opposing counsels
  • Analyze briefs and other documents for evidence that supports legal action or argumentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Law with additional postgraduate qualification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to research complex legal issues quickly and accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
