Overview

Excavator Operator – contract position in Hawalli. Responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction or demolition projects. Also responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other areas as needed for construction projects
• Load and unload materials using the excavator's bucket or other attachments
• Inspect equipment before use and perform routine maintenance as needed
• Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage to equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues that may arise
• Read and interpret construction plans to ensure accurate excavation work is done according to specifications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators
• Valid biometric passport
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary

Salary for this position is 1600$ per month with opportunities for overtime pay.
