Job summary

Teach Away Inc. is seeking a classroom teacher to support student performance and educational outcomes aligned with the school strategic plan and state priorities.

The role focuses on strengthening staff knowledge of high-quality instruction to define and implement quality teacher practice. Responsibilities include delivering a flexible program, fostering growth, maintaining strong rapport with students and parents, and upholding the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor.
• Teaching experience: 2+ years.
• Licenses & Certifications: Teaching Credential/License, TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours, TESL/TEFL Certificate, TESL/TEFL Diploma Level.

Responsibilities

• Teaches by creating a flexible program and an environment favourable to learning and personal growth.
• Encourages students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to obtain a good foundation for continuous growth and development.
• Provides students with experiences which integrate the affective, cognitive and psychomotor dimensions of learning.
• Establishes effective rapport with students and their parents.
• Assists students in developing positive feelings toward themselves and others.
• Works in the school’s best interest, to promote its good name, support its members and act in a collegate manner.
• Strives to achieve the highest professional standards in all they do at and for the school.
• May be required to undertake other duties in addition to rostered teaching duties provided the responsibility is appropriate to the salary range, qualifications, training and experience of the teacher.
