Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a seasoned Fire Protection/Suppression Lead to manage the maintenance program for fire alarm systems within a designated area of responsibility. You will develop and implement maintenance, test and inspection programs in line with NFPA and DOD standards, coordinating with technicians and facility custodians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and twelve to fifteen years related experience.
• Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Secret Security Clearance.
• NICET Level II certification preferred.
• Experience with NFPA fire alarm systems and hood/duct exhaust systems.

Job Description

Manages the Fire Protection/Suppression maintenance program within assigned AOR. Has the overall responsibility for the maintenance and management of fire alarm systems. Responsible for development of a maintenance, test and inspection program, compliant with DOD and NFPA regulations. Develop a scope of work required for system repair, maintenance or expansion of alarm systems. Oversee work for system repair, maintenance or expansion, ensuring equipment provided and installed complies with the current NFPA standards and the National Electrical Code. Plans and directs lead alarm technicians work load, performs quality assurance checks providing written reports to fire management. Supervises and documents acceptance testing of fire alarm systems. Coordinates work schedule and requirements with supervisors, schedules appointments for testing repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems with facility custodians. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and twelve (12) years to fifteen (15) years related experience.

Performs installation, inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and replacements of fire detection and alarm systems for all fire protection equipment and systems located in AASAB.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) qualified Fire Alarms Systems personnel perform fire protection systems and exhaust suppression systems (hoods and ducts systems) inspection, maintenance, and repair; fire alarms technicians are embedded within the Electrical Section for daily operations.
Must be NICET Level II certified.
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior military and/or contingency experience.
