About the Job: An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Engineering to lead engineering and maintenance operations throughout Jumeirah Messilah Beach. The main duties and responsibilities are:

• Lead all engineering and maintenance operations for the entire property, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with Fire & Life Safety standards.
• Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs, approving expenditures and preparing 5–10 year maintenance and capital improvement plans.
• Oversee and implement a robust Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program to maximize asset life cycle and minimize downtime.
• Manage and motivate a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring effective training, communication and performance management.
• Drive energy conservation and sustainability initiatives, monitoring energy usage and preparing monthly engineering and energy reports.
• Coordinate with other departments, external contractors and government authorities for projects, compliance and continuous improvement.

About You: The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering (or an equivalent professional qualification).
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering leadership experience in a 5‑star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Expertise in Fire & Life Safety systems, HVAC and building management systems (BMS), including preventive maintenance programmes.
• Strong financial and project management skills, including budgeting, cost control and capital expenditure planning.
• Experience in multicultural environments and Middle East operations with excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
