Job summary

Avanta Works in Bayan, Kuwait, seeks an Accountant on a contract basis, open to Indian nationals only. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience and fluent English, with strong Excel and QuickBooks skills.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing payables/receivables, bank reconciliations, budgets, month-end close, and ensuring tax compliance. Accommodation and visa sponsorship are provided; immediate start is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Good time-management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct month-end close processes and assist with year-end audits.
• Monitor cash flow and manage budget variances.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
