Job summary

Client of Career Hunters is seeking a Reporting VP Financial Accounting in Kuwait to lead the monthly close, consolidation, and IFRS reporting for the company and its subsidiaries. The role oversees tax declarations, transfer pricing considerations, and liaison with tax auditors, ensuring timely and compliant financial statements.

The candidate should have a 6–8 year track record in finance/accounting within real estate, strong English and Arabic skills, and Kuwaiti nationality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent years of experience).
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Significant experience in real estate, tax, and consolidation processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews financial statements and manages monthly accounts from subsidiaries.
• Ensure accuracy of subsidiary records and align them with group reporting.
• Prepare company consolidation and monthly closing in IFRS framework.
• Handle tax declarations for the company and local subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with external tax auditors for approvals and compliance.
• Develop and refine team procedures and manuals; support cross-functional teams.

Reporting VP Financial Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews all financial statements and manages accounts on a monthly basis after receiving from Subsidiaries
• Associates Follow up on all financial records of the subsidiaries ensuring that they are accurately updated
• Reviews with external Tax auditors for final approval
• Prepares the company consolidation and a Monthly Closing to ensure completeness of organized processes for the company and subsidiaries
• In charge of the Tax declaration for the company Kuwait and local subsidiaries
• Gather information from subsidiaries for DMTT tax ensuring accurate calculations and a thorough understanding of applicable regulations
• Comprehend intercompany transactions by applying the transfer pricing policies and procedures
• Ensures that all subsidiaries submit their tax declarations accurately minimizing payments based on actual data and meet all deadlines
• Prepares the consolidated financial statements of the company in compliance with IFRS
• Analyzes the monthly reporting of the consolidated financial statements
• Assists in the development and enhancement of team procedure manuals and processes
• Maintains collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel and keeping abreast of significant reporting and regulatory guidelines
• Actively participates in assigned Cross-Functional Teams CFT and ensures timely dissemination of information to CFT

Qualifications

• Kuwaiti National is a must
• Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting with equivalent years of experience
• Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken) 6 8 years of relevant experience
• Significant experience in the real estate industry, and relevant experience tax / Consolidations
• Working Days / Timings: Sunday Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
