Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints accurately to complete projects on time
• Good physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials
• Attention to detail with excellent fine motor skills
• Excellent communication skills in order to understand customer requirements
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape and assemble wooden components to form structures that meet requirements
• Construct window frames, doors, staircases and framework
• Install prefabricated windows, doors, door frames, door hardware and interior/exterior trim using a variety of tools and materials
• Inspect places where carpentry work is needed or identify problems in existing installations
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition by cleaning them after each use
• Follow all safety protocols when working with heavy machinery or power tools
