Overview

Responsibilities

• Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood or other materials.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials such as wood or plastic using hand tools and power tools.
• Determining the amount and type of materials necessary for each project.
• Reading blueprints to help guide construction projects.
• Ensuring that all safety precautions are followed while working with potentially hazardous tools and materials.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Reporting any problems or issues with projects to supervisors as needed.
