The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing and installing structures and fixtures made from wood, metal or other materials. The candidate should have strong technical abilities, good problem-solving skills, knowledge of different materials, safety procedures, and the ability to read blueprints is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan projects and measure materials accurately.
• Prepare wood surfaces and use power tools to cut and join pieces together.
• Understand wood properties, select appropriate tools, fasten joints securely, and match angles accurately.
• Create smooth surfaces when necessary and understand how humidity affects wood and other materials during construction.
• Communicate with customers regarding project needs and expectations.
• Work with minimal supervision and complete tasks on time and within budget.

Qualifications
