Reports To: IT Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Amadeus Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis combined with expertise in the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS). This role will focus on gathering requirements, optimizing travel processes, and ensuring seamless integration and use of Amadeus solutions across our travel or airline services.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on the Amadeus GDS platform and related travel technologies.
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with IT, product, and operations teams to implement new features or workflows using Amadeus tools (e.g., Selling Platform Connect, Altea, Amadeus Web Services).
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance customer and agent experiences.
• Assist in system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Amadeus modules.
• Create user stories, workflow diagrams, and system documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and go-live activities.
• Monitor system performance and user feedback to recommend and implement enhancements.
• Liaise with Amadeus account representatives and support teams as needed.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with Amadeus systems in a business analyst or operations role.
• Strong knowledge of Amadeus Selling Platform, Altea Suite, or Web Services.
• Experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Understanding of travel industry workflows (airline, hotel, car rental, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent).
• Experience with other GDS systems (e.g., Sabre, Galileo) is a plus.
• Familiarity with XML, API integrations, or travel tech development is advantageous.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
