Job description

We’re looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be in charge of supervising all financial activities and assuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have substantial accounting expertise, particularly from the contracting or construction industries. Responsibilities: 1. Manage the company’s financial accounts, which include accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger. 2. Create and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 3. Ensure adherence to all accounting standards, rules, and corporate policies. 4. Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process and provide management with insights and recommendations. 5. Coordinate and assist with annual audits and tax returns. 6. Review and reconcile financial disparities; investigate and resolve issues as needed. 7. Work with other departments to streamline financial processes and boost efficiency. 8. Train and coach junior accounting employees as needed. Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with CPA certification preferable. 2. Five years of accounting expertise, with an emphasis on financial analysis and reporting. 3. Prior contracting or construction expertise is highly preferred. 4. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. 5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis. 6.
