Job summary
A leading IT solutions provider is in search of a Sr. Software Engineer / Architect in San Ramon, CA. The role requires 75% coding and 25% architecture, requiring strong communication skills along with backend development/architecture experience. Candidates should possess expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure, and experience with Agile methodologies. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with product managers and external partners, ensuring innovative solutions that drive success.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles.
- Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.).
- Experience with Big Data / Hadoop and NoSQL Database.
- Expert in Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
- Experience in microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Sr. Architects and Product Managers.
- Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates and justify with facts.
- Provide guidance to a team of 5 to 7 developers with planning and execution.
- Work with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements.
- Demonstrate understanding of Agile software development lifecycle.
