Descrizione del lavoro

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal‑management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative‑energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off‑highway equipment – Dana provides the world’s original‑equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Position Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated System Engineer to join our R&D department in Arco (TN). You will work within a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team operating in a global environment that stimulates skills, competences and professional growth. Creativity, innovation, curiosity and accountability are core foundations for developing systems that meet OEM vehicle requirements. The System Engineer will report to the Lead Engineer for HVT Transmission Systems and support project developments while coordinating activities among different teams.

Main opportunities and challenges: • Transform both internal and external stakeholders’ needs into solution value. • Work on venture‑edge technologies within an off‑highway context.

Responsibilities
  • Translate customer needs into system requirements, decompose them into requirements and specifications for each subsystem and technical domain, and define component, subsystem and system specifications.
  • Coordinate and execute integration and validation activities, leveraging model‑based system engineering methodology, to assess system performance and functions. The role includes coding for data analysis and problem‑solving activities.
  • Develop control systems using a model‑based approach with Simulink (design, simulation and prototyping). Understand and analyze model‑based software implementations/architecture.
  • Execute and promote engineering activities to develop required systems that meet top‑level performance, durability, reliability and cost targets, including multi‑domain physical systems modeling and simulation.
  • Contribute throughout the full development process of new products and systems—from concept development and feasibility, through design and validation activities and programs, prototyping, to production release and implementation.
  • Cooperate with other functions—supplier, product and system verification and validation engineers, manufacturing/process/quality engineers, purchasing, analyst—to assure product/system launch and implement cost reduction, process and product/systems improvements.
  • Support and manage technical communications and professional presentations to customers.
