A leading beauty company in Tuscany seeks a Sustainability Manager to implement environmental and regulatory sustainability initiatives. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within cosmetics or related industries, and involves working closely with the Group Sustainability function. Fluent Italian and English required.

Competenze

• Excellent knowledge of sustainability standards: CSRD, LCA, carbon accounting, ESG reporting.
• Familiarity with natural ingredients, certifications, and sustainable packaging.

Descrizione del lavoro

The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for coordinating and implementing environmental, social and regulatory sustainability initiatives across the company. The role will work in close collaboration with the Group Sustainability function, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and supporting the roadmap toward a more responsible beauty industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ongoing sustainability projects, ensuring progress and achievement of targets (e.g., emission reduction, sustainable packaging, use of natural ingredients).
• Collaborate with the Group’s Sustainability function to align policies, reporting and strategic priorities.
• Manage ESG reporting in compliance with CSRD requirements and related European standards.
• Support the certification process (e.g., COSMOS, Ecocert) for natural and/or organic product lines.
• Identify new opportunities for improvement in areas such as carbon footprint reduction, circular economy and supplier sustainability.
• Monitor environmental KPIs and contribute to the preparation of the Sustainability Report.
• Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization, collaborating with R&D, Packaging, Supply Chain, Marketing and Regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within the cosmetics or similar industries.
• Degree in Economics, Engineering, Chemistry or related fields.
• Excellent knowledge of key sustainability standards and regulations: CSRD, LCA, carbon accounting, ESG reporting.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with topics such as natural ingredients, certifications and sustainable packaging.
• Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
