The candidate report to Jacket engineering coordinator, the candidate is tasked to review /consent design and the developed offshore structural systems for a fixed wellhead platform, including jacket, piles, topsides, and associated appurtenances, ensuring structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and constructability throughout the project lifecycle the candidate responsibilities is detailed as below
General Description of Role and Responsibilities [ but not limited to ]:
Structural Design & Analysis
- Review and consent to performed structural analysis and design of offshore structures such as:
- Jacket, piles, and conductor guides
- Topside modules and equipment support frames
- Boat landings, riser guards, flare booms, and access platforms
- Review and consent study for in-place, transportation, load-out, and installation analyses.
- Review and consent to performed calculations /modeling using SACS, STAAD Pro, SESAM, or similar.
- Review and consent to Designed structural connections, welds, and foundations according to applicable standards (API RP 2A, ISO 19902, AISC, etc.).
- Review and consent to the prepared detailed design drawings, structural analysis reports, and construction documents.
- Review and consent to generated fabrication[shop] drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and structural weight estimates.
- Provide support to drafting teams for 3D modeling and clash resolution.
Codes & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards including:
- API RP 2A, ISO 19902, AISC, AWS, DNV, ABS, and client‑specific standards.
- Ensure structural integrity under all loading conditions including environmental (wave, wind, current), functional (equipment loads), and accidental (blast, boat impact).
Coordination & Reviews
- Interface with other disciplines (piping, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, naval) to align design inputs and resolve interface issues.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability and 3D model reviews.
- Review and respond to technical queries (TQs), vendor data, and client comments as requested.
Support with Fabrication & Installation [as required]
- Provide engineering support during fabrication, load‑out, and offshore installation.
- Review fabrication drawings and perform site queries resolution during yard execution.
- Proficient in offshore structural analysis tools (SACS, STAAD Pro, SESAM, ANSYS).
- Solid understanding of offshore structural design principles, fatigue, and dynamic loading.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, lifting, and installation constraints.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and interdisciplinary coordination skills.

- Structural Design Basis.
- Structural Analysis Reports (In‑place, Transportation, Lift).
- Jacket and Topside GA & Fabrication Drawings.
- Material Take‑Offs and Weight Reports.
- Design Calculations and Load Combinations Summary.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Work experience of eight (8) years in the field of sought discipline after earning the BSc degree.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in total, with at least the last 35 years spent on offshore projects.
- Excellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write specifications and reports.
