A leading technology company is seeking a Sr. UX Designer to drive the design framework for its innovative low Earth orbit satellite network. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in UX design, creating user interfaces, and optimizing design tools, while working in a collaborative environment with product and engineering teams. This role is critical in developing user-friendly experiences across platforms and contributes to the company's mission of providing reliable internet connectivity worldwide.
Job ID: 3062375 | Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC. This role is located in Redmond, WA and requires the candidate to be onsite. No location flexibility.
Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to drive the definition and design for Leo’s mobile and web design framework capabilities. The design system provides the components used throughout the website and mobile app, tools for designers and developers, and documents the human interface guidelines for how to use the components. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers to invent and deliver UX frameworks and features that align and extend the experience across all devices. You will champion a design system, invent and simplify a set of mechanisms, building blocks and tools that empower designers and engineers building the future experiences for no code/low code products within Amazon.
Amazon Leo’s success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. Leaders will solve complex problems and get things done. A successful candidate has a passion for design systems, strong visual and interaction design senses, a customer‑obsessed UX toolkit, and a history of applying them at scale. You'll use these skills to define, grow and refine our design system’s foundations, components, and patterns, in addition to helping us expand to new customers, and technologies.
The ideal candidate is customer‑obsessed and has experience collaborating with designers and researchers to collect user insights and feedback to validate designs. Candidates who are adept at leading internal and external design workshops and design discovery activities are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must be capable of synthesizing a variety of inputs into experiences and designs that customers love!
